Placental polyp is retained placental tissue within the endometrial cavity, which forms a nidus for inflammation and bleeding. rare entity with an incidence of less than 0.25% all pregnancies as reported. Here, we report case 23-year-old P2L2 woman complaints intermittent vaginal bleeding since her recent normal delivery, 1.5 months back. A polypoid mass (51×41 mm) abundant vascularity was detected products placenta (RPOC) cavity by imaging studies. combination polypoidal beta human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) <2.0 mIU/ml raising suspicion or trophoblastic neoplasms. After yielding unsatisfactory biopsy containing only fibrin deposition, total hysterectomy performed due to profuse during biopsy. The uterus specimen showed slight globular enlargement presence red-coloured rough outer surface fragile consistency. histological protruding lesion, from exaggerated implantation site, intermediate cells infiltrated into myometrium, might lead diagnosis polyp. However, uterine arteriovenous malformation have similar clinical characteristics, it important accurately identify differentiate between them ensure optimal treatment therapy. Definite ultimately made histopathological examination. We here that suggestive either will discuss differential diagnoses treatments both diseases, based on literature review.
